HER INNER WARDROBE

a lifestyle blog by emma kilgour

STRIPES!! we all know that we're going to be seeing a lot of stripes and floral as summer is upon us.
I've put together a collage of some luxurious bits from NET-A-PORTER.com especially for the striped trend that is
about to hit us!

I love that people express themselves through fashion and what i admire most is individuals who stand out in a
crowd wearing clothing and accessories that wouldn't normally be worn in a certain way or something that isn't on
trend but could very well be the next.

My favourite piece from these pics has to be the GUCCI striped tweed skirt, not only can you rock the skirt but
there's also a broach paired to create the look of a gucci belt and we all know how popular those belts are this year
don't we!
So which one do you prefer?

Let's be honest we all need a little helping hand when it comes to packing for holiday's, or packing in general for
that matter, wether it's how many outfits to plan or how many bag's to take or how many bikinis you need. And don't
even get me started on shoes! shoes are the hardest to pack, I own around 30 pairs and honestly, i can sit there for
hours deciding which ones to pack. it's a nightmare!

In all honesty i don't actually think packing is the real problem, i think it's when you're looking in your wardrobe
and saying to yourself "holy s**t i have nothing to wear" when in reality you have something around
99 tops, 42 pairs of jeans and 25 skirts... i think maybe, just maybe it's us females that are the problem. And this is
where the problem becomes even bigger as you now have to go holiday shopping, adding more pieces of clothing to
your 'none existent' wardrobe.
We just can't be helped!

Dress - Self-portrait
Swimsuit - Zimmermann
Hat - Gucci
Bag - Gucci
Heels - Saint Laurent

I have two more holiday's booked for 2018, one in the middle of June and the other at the beginning of September
and i am super excited, mainly just to have some time off from work and to be able to relax in the sun without a
worry. So to get yourself and i holiday ready i've collected some inspiration to show you what colours and styles are
in this season. I know it's easy just grabbing the first pieces that catch your eye along with it being super painless to
go with your usual typical nudes, blacks and whites but why not try something different? it's great to express
yourself through your style.

I'm sure you would love some of the products above, i know i would. Only if there were a few more zero's added to
my salary! Use some inspiration from these products and go-grab yourself a bargain!

Enjoy your holiday's girlies.

I feel like this post is in no need of any of my blabber in order to make you fall in love with these handbags, just
one glance and I had already fallen. I wanted to make this post to remind yourself and I of the beautiful necessities
in the world, aside from the enormous price tags they honestly are the most precious things, YES, handbags! I
always say to myself if i'm going to buy a handbag buy the one that you will have forever, one that will treat you
well for many years and one that you can pass down to your daughter when she is of age, therefore when it is no
longer suitable for you it will still be there! I don't think there's a lot you can own that would last you a lifetime, for
example some designer bags are the same price as a second hand car... this car will not last you 15 years let alone
your life but handbags on the other hand, if you treat them like your babies then yes they will last you for a lifetime.

If you know me personally you will know that I don't stop talking about handbags... it's sad I know but
unfortunately I just can't help myself. I work in an environment where i'm surrounded by them, wether it's walking
through the luxury department, selling them myself or customers passing, they're constantly in contact with my eyes
and once I see the one I'm obsessed with (pretty much every style, shape and colour) then that's me off and my only
subject throughout that day will be of course - handbags!

I've put together this collage of my current favourites but I have to say my favourite out of these 6 styles has to be
NO.6 - the Gucci double G Marmont quilted leather shoulder bag in black, so I may be treating myself in the
next few months!

NO.1 GUCCI soho disco cross body bag - red and nude.
NO.2 SAINT LAURENT blogger leather shoulder bag - black.
NO.3 GIVENCHY Antigona - black.
NO.4 BALENCIAGA mini city bag - black.
NO.5 SAINT LAURENT monogram sunset bag - navy.
NO.6 GUCCI double G marmont shoulder bag - black and white.

Which one is your favourite?

The title is clear! these 8 items/ accessories are my February Favourites some of which I've wanted for a while (is
it just me or does that last sentence sound like a tongue twister?) and some I have come across just this month.
My wish-list goes on and on and will typically carry on going so I think it's best to split everything up into a few
items a month.

NO.1 is a handbag I am absolutely head over heels for, it is a recent addition to the coveted Marmont family and I
am super super in love with it. I love how different the shape is to anything they've produced before. LOVE.
GUCCI double G Marmont shoulder bag.

NO.2 an utterly beautiful painted striped ruffle mini dress from Zimmermann, how stunning!

NO.3 these are so in at the minute, you will know them very well! the Alexander McQueen oversized sneaker. I see
them near enough every day at work and not once have they looked bad with an outfit, they literally go with
anything and everything.

NO.4 the Gucci belt of course! who wouldn't be day dreaming over it? it honestly makes any outfit look incredible.

NO.5 it won't be for everyone but I smelt this bottle for the first time this month and it's delightful! - Jo Malone
Peony and Blush Suede.

NO.6 CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTINS, LOU-BOU-TINS. I just can't seem to get over my love for them, although a lot
of women have said they are extremely painful, they're just incredible to look at! As Christian Louboutin himself
says "high heels are pleasure with pain." Great, thanks Christian.

NO.7 something that's a little less expensive... a phone case! Ideal Of Sweden. These are by far my favourite phone
cases. Gorgeous, I've recently bought a blue case from their website, it's in the style of moroccan tile and
architecture, I think we first started using these patterned mosaics to decorate anything from walls, tables and floors
to swimming pools and more 1300 years ago, you can see the one I purchased here.

NO.8 my final favourite... the Louis Vuitton Emilie Wallet in Damier Ebene Canvas. In fact I did have the Emilie
wallet last year in rose ballerine BUT when purchasing I noticed it was very hard to move, the sales assistant
advised me to lets say 'warm it up a little' before I say no, still 6 months down the line it was again very hard to get
in and out of the wallet, so I sold it... and now I miss it terribly, hopefully I can find one that won't be as un-useable.

I hope you enjoyed this months favourites. Look out for March favourites next!

I couldn't not write a post on this extraordinary restaurant and bar as it's my all time favourite! it's located in the
heart of Spinningfields in Manchester. Precisely - Gartside street, 3 Hardman Square, Spinningfields, Manchester,
M3 3EB.
Offering contemporary Chinese cuisine 'fusing traditional Asian flavours with exquisite presentation delivered by
head chef, Clifton Muil, and his talented team.'
'Tattu takes inspiration from body art and its rich history, inviting guests on a sensory journey from East to West,
delivering a unique experience unlike any other.' I've visited quite a few times now and each time truly gets better
and better, there's never a bad word to say.
If somebody was to ask me to recommend somewhere to eat in Manchester wether they're travelling or live in
Manchester themselves I would 100% recommend Tattu restaurant every single time without fail.

The look.

As you can see they really do take inspiration from body art, I mean look at the canvas it's utterly beautiful.
They've taken a simple body image and added the body art in the Chinese/ Asian style and not to mention the
flowers! how stunning! also the detailing on the tiled floor, such incredible intricate designs they've added to
the decor. You just can't begin to imagine how much thought was put into creating this outstanding restaurant.

What amazes me is that they have even thought of including a real tree to the centre of the restaurant, a real tree but
artificial yet gorgeous branches and cherry blossom flowers that they change from time to time. They have recently
changed the colour of the blossom to red just in time to celebrate the Chinese new year.

The menus.

They have 7 menu's at the moment. 5 types of food menu's and then the obvious drink and dessert menu.
I've only added photos of the pages my boyfriend and I order from so don't think is that it? because trust me there's
so much more to choose from.

1. LUNCH menu.
2. A LA CARTE menu.
3. DESSERT menu.
4. CHINESE NY menu.
5. CANAPES menu.
6. LARGE PARTIES menu.
7. DRINKS menu - everyone's favourite.

The starters.

We consistently choose the same 3 starters!

NO.1 being my first choice of the mixed dim sum basket at £12.50 on the 'steamed' side of the 'dim sum' page (none
vegetarian) as you can see in the third and fourth photo above. The white dim sum - wagyu. The red dim sum - Thai
chicken. The black dim sum - black cod. They have recently changed the none vegetarian dim sum basket so before
they were changed my absolute favourite was the red one! - Thai chicken and now they have replaced one of the old
ones with the new wagyu dim sum and I just can not explain the taste. This is extremely cheesy but the only thing I
can say is it's out of this world I honestly haven't tasted anything like it before.

NO.2 is my boyfriends favourite - the chilli salt baby squid on the 'small plates' page at £9 such beautiful squid as
you can see in the first photo.

NO.3 is one to share! We always choose - crispy duck rolls, honestly these are the nicest duck rolls I've ever tasted,
tiny but so worth it. My mouth is watering just thinking about them! you can see them on the 'fried and baked' side
of the 'dim sum' page at £8.

The mains.

NO.1 I have a really bad habit of sticking to the same thing - black pepper and honey ribs at £21 including - black
pepper, garlic and chilli's it's so sweet yet super spicy. I should really start trying something else but I can't eat at
tattu without ordering the ribs! This is another dish from their menu that I just can not describe. They're honestly
unbelievable.

I also get egg fried rice as a side at £4, I recommend you adding the sauce from the ribs into the rice. I honestly
would just order the rice and the honey rib sauce if i could it's absolutely stunning!

NO.2 I didn't manage to take a photo of my boyfriends order as he had scoffed it up before I had the chance but you
can see the plate slightly in the background. He ordered the chinese barbeque chicken main including - chilli,
sweet soy and garlic at £17.50.

I just wanted to add that i'm not really one for drinking so I can't add a photo of a cocktail i've taken personally
but I have chosen a few above from their website. Tattu's cocktails are serious masterpieces!

We may go again for our anniversary next month so i'll keep you up to date with the next chosen mains.
I definitely need to pick something else! maybe the black bean baby chicken? we shall see.

If you've been before please share your experiences in the comments section below and if you haven't been then try
something new and book in using their website here.
Thank you for reading!
